1982 Spartan FV103 CVRT Armoured Personnel Carrier original registration 00-GS-13 in great condition

fully refurbished; Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance (Tracked) ‘Just Married’ for moving specialist teams!

In 2014 this example is bought by Ivo Jr. as his first personal tank restoration project.
In the period 2014-2018 he converted it back to the original petrol version including a fully by MOD Jaguar rebuilt J60 4.2 litre engine and also fully rebuilt TN15 transmission. The vehicle was fully reconditioned to pristine condition. On August 12th, 2018, it made its first public appearance during the marriage of Ivo Jr. and his wife Karina.

Of this CVRT, original registration 00-GS-13, the history is relatively well known from 1980 till 1987 based on the original Vehicle History Card.  It was used mainly for the British Army of the Rhine (BAOR) by the 1st and 3rd battalion Royal Green Jackets (1 RGJ and 3 RGJ) and also by the Royal Anglian Regiment. After 1987 the history is a little unknown but in the end the CVRT was converted to a Sturgeon. In this application the vehicle was used as a training unit to represent the opposing forces in the training area Suffield Canada by the British Army. Therefore, it went again oversees (CANADA)!

After it’s active service it was decommissioned and partly stripped. The unit was released by the MOD on June 21 2004 and sold 10 years later in an auction where Ivo Jr. got the winning bid.

This vehicle is a very good and original condition. Not abused as many of them at tank driving schools but always treated gently! Vehicle will be delivered with: Fully MOD rebuild engine and transmission, auxiliary fuel tank (to avoid aging of the fuel; original tank is still installed), vehicle related documentation, clansman intercom + 2 crew helmets, British tea cooker, smoke grenade tubes (replica) and in very good condition.
