This vehicle has been overhauled completed by the MOD (Ministry of Defense) in the beginning of 2000. And has since then run very low hours. It’s therefore in a excellent condition and is fully operational, inducing the HIAB crane which has a lifting capacity of 3.4 tons. The vehicle was designed for Service and Repairs to other 430 – Variants and the Chieftain battle tank .
Vehicle is very complete and a fantastic runner. Breathes history but always maintained by the crew with care.
Vehicle Runs and Drives perfect and has run very low miles after being overhauled. It is well maintained (Press the button and driving). Obviously FV has new tracks , electric Wiring , brakes, batteries etc. etc.
Vehicle will delivered with a service a drive training and will come with the operating and maintenance manuals.
The hull of the FV434 is of all-welded steel construction. The crew of four consists of commander, driver (who is also the crane operator) and two fitters. The driver is seated at the front of the hull on the right side and is provided with a single-piece hatch cover that opens to his left and has an integral AFV No 33 Mk 1 periscope which can be replaced by an infra-red periscope for night driving. To his rear is the commander`s cupola, which has a single-piece hatch cover, and three No 32 Mk 1 periscopes for observation. The FV434 is armed with either a 7.62 mm L4A4 (Bren) LMG or a 7.62 mm L7A2 GPMG.
