7279: M48A5 Patton III The iconic Vietnam Veteran

Introduction:
We like to introduce a recent discovery being a M48A5 Patton III.

The M48 is very rare and difficult to find. It was the main battle tank of the US Army Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, where the M48 saw extensive combat in the lower laying east of the country and in urban operations.
The curved shape of the lower hull was particularly significant for this war, since it was designed to resist mine blast. It resulted in a remarkably high survival rate for M48 crews.

The M48 we discovered is in relatively good condition and a very nice basis to be prepared for a display in a museum or even a complete restoration. Also, for the reconversion from the current A5 version (M68 105 mm gun) into the iconic A3 version (M41 90 mm gun) we can supply the correct gun.

Buying this Main Battle Tank:

First, it will be very interesting how and what you want. There are many possibilities. Buying this tank in as-is condition, cosmetically restored or fully operational including conversion into the condition as it has served in Vietnam.
