The oldest known survivor world-wide!! Serial number: 331.
This 1940 6×6 wrecker military truck, closed cab is a very early model with civil dashboard.
It has a good running Hercules RXC 6-cylinder gasoline engine with 131 bhp. All horses still available and very good air and oil pressure. The transmission is a 4-speed forward and 1 reverse manual transmission. The wrecker is fitted with a 2-speed transfer case, front PTO. The winch has a lifting capacity of 10 tons.
This very early model was imported in The Netherlands by Mr Jaap de Groot of Army Cars in the late nineties. This specific example came from the Norwegian Army and have after the war hardly seen any service life. Always stored inside.
Initially kept By Mr. de Groot for his private collection however in 2001 it was sold to a very good friend of Mr de Groot in the UK. Remarkable: It was transported to the UK on July 25th 2016 o the day the Concorde crashed after its departure from Paris Charles de Gaulle.
Also, then always stored inside. This untouched vehicle is in absolute great and original condition and moreover unique. Good runner. Comes with snatch blocks, chains etc. Brakes are working very well and starts on the button. Only exhaust system should be renewed (if required we can do this for you against additional costs). The Diamond is from all WW-II Wreckers the most fun to drive.
