Attending Eyewitness Event 2026, 29 & 30 August
This WWII re-enactment event, 2-yearly organised by War museum Overloon, brings history to life with authentic camps, trenches and vehicles. BAIV will join 2026 with a 1942 Sherman M4, 105mm towed gun and a large team also Maurice will join us with his Firefly IC, giving staff a valuable hands-on understanding of wartime vehicle use and crew experie, AC Matador & Ford Canada 15 cwt. Visitors enjoyed realistic mock battles with pyrotechnics and historic machinery, creating an immersive and educational event for both spectators and participants.
Operation Cobra 🇺🇸
25 July 1944. American forces launch Operation Cobra to break out of Normandy. At the head of the advancing column, the M4 Sherman leads the way.
Operation Goodwood
18–20 July 1944. British armour pushes east of Caen in a massive offensive. The Churchill and Firefly lead the attack, with our forces joining in support.
Battle of Carentan
D-Day +6. American paratroopers fight to capture the vital town of Carentan. As the battle reaches its end, the M4 Sherman rolls in to support the advance.
