This superb Sherman will add, by our opinion, a significant value to any WW2 Armor collection because it tells a magnificent story of the final stage of US Sherman production in Word War 2. Moreover, the M4A3 E8 (76) HVSS is according to well-known experts the ultimate Sherman!

Global timeline

Story of the M4A3E8 76mm

The M4A3(76) evolved from a 1942 Ford contract introducing a new 500 HP V8 engine, initially used for training but later proven superior and approved for overseas use in 1943. Production was reserved for US forces. Although Ford exited tank production in 1943, it continued supplying engines. The M4A3E8 76 HVSS, produced by Chrysler (1944–1945), represents a peak in US tank development. BAIV is launching a unique restoration project based on an M74 reconversion, with key components like hull, suspension, T23 turret, and 76 mm gun already sourced, making it a standout project for serious collectors and enthusiasts.
